It is still commonplace is keeping warm by burning wood in Yambol. And will be for many years to come. These trucks, therefore, will continue to deliver firewood throughout the winter.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Tank Delivery to The Museum of Battle Glory in Yambol
A decommissioned army tank is seen here being delivered to Yambol's Battle of Glory Museum. All traffic stopped with the wide birth involved going up the wrong way of a one way street due to a wide turning circle needed.

A Slide Postal Delivery System in Yambol
A fence is only a metre away form the window so a slide was installed to deliver the mail. By the look of the wear on the slide is is well used.

One of Yambol's Vilton Stores Taking in a Delivery
Caught sight of a delivery van at on of Yambol's Vilton Stores in the Diana area stocking up supplies which are regularly shopped for by locals, myself included. The Vilton shops are Bulgarian owned and run which is quite refreshing in view of German Supermarket dominance from Lidl, Kaufland and Billa in Yambol,

Yambol Delivery Van
A delivery van in Yambol centre, notice the bulgarian parking here, one car on the pavement the van side on to the kerb, normal in Yambol. These vans are full of character and should have names like Ivan or Hristo as they have personality. Unlike the white transit van brigade - YAWN!
