Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.
Bulgarians are well known for their bad parking habits. Not just Yambol, but everywhere you go in Bulgaria you see cars parked on pavements without a thought for pedestrains. Today the same manner was shown for a badly parked wheelbarrow. I had to laugh as I saw it lying there in the street. A delivery van in Yambol centre, notice the bulgarian parking here, one car on the pavement the van side on to the kerb, normal in Yambol. These vans are full of character and should have names like Ivan or Hristo as they have personality. Unlike the white transit van brigade - YAWN!
The Yambol Town Centre Taxi Rank. Not an official one but they park there catching shoppers just coming out of the small Vilton supermarket. where so much traffic mayhem is made with the coming and going. Very amusing to watch but only if you are not involved with the goings on.
