The Old Station Bazaar in Yambol

Still going strong with fresh fruit and vegetables, Yambol's Old Station Bazaar remains a great alternative to monster supermarkets for fresh and locally produced food. The architecture still provokes an interest each time I visit.

Yambol's Covered Bazaar Viewed Coming from Rakovski Street

Yambol, Bazaar, Rakovski Street,

Taken from the top of the steps that lead from Rakovski Street, yo can see the Covered Bazaar in Yambol. always a hive of business there. However I do tend to find the prices of fruit and vegetables are higher than my local shop so I don't usually shop there. But I do buy my honey which is better than any supermarket honey.

Watering Hole, Yambol, Bazaar,

you will find this watering hole in Yambol's Bazaar by the old Bus Station. Used by all workers and shoppers, a useful resource in the long hot summers. I've never seen it break down, even in mid-winter.

No Fruit and Vegetables Today in Yambol's Bazaar

Fruit, Vegetables, Yambol, Bazaar, New Year, hangover,

A strange sight today as I visited the local bazaar to stock up on some fruit and vegetables. There was only one stall working and that was scant with produce. not quite sure why no fruit and vegetables were being sold today. Maybe a New Year hangover?

Home Grown Fruit and Vegetables For Sale in Yambol (Ямбол)

This is one of my favourite places to buy fruit and vegetable in Yambol (Ямбол). Situated in the Borovets area, local residents set up their home grown produce to sell the the public. Far better prices than the shops and the bigger market places and of course quality just as good with the generations of know how in Yambol small holdings and gardens

A Mini Bazaar in Yambol's Borovets Area

This mini bazaar in in Yambol's Borovets area. It is made up of local Yambol folk selling their own home produced fruit and vegetables. Much fresher than anywhere else in Yambol and at a better price! Better get the early as they are usually gone by lunchtime.

Yambol Folk Waiting For a Bus

After a hard morning of looking for the best deals in the Yambol Bazaar, these Yambol folk now have to wait for a bus to take them home with their goods, namely a hose and tomato plants. What takes the eye is the Bus Station bench which has had its fair share of wear anf tear over the years. Oh, and of course a nice bum on the woman with the pink top!

Spring bring with it much colour and nowhere more than the Yambol Bazaar with all the local produce that has been grown under cover now for sale. Many buyers grow their own but are not ready for picking right now, me included which is why I was there. Lettuce and radish salad tonight!
