Another entrance to Yamnbol's fruit and vegetable market next to the bus/coach station. This is used by myself each time as I park my car in a private street opposite the gate you see. The market is only some 20 metres away from this point.

Home Grown Fruit and Vegetables For Sale in Yambol (Ямбол)

This is one of my favourite places to buy fruit and vegetable in Yambol (Ямбол). Situated in the Borovets area, local residents set up their home grown produce to sell the the public. Far better prices than the shops and the bigger market places and of course quality just as good with the generations of know how in Yambol small holdings and gardens

Another New Apartment Development

Developments like this are scattered around Yambol town. This is a common site wherever you go as the demand for apartments is was high. This demand in the main is not from Bulgarians but from foreigners who are the only ones who can afford them . With the wordwide credit crunch I wonder whether all these new apartment developments will all sell or flood the market ending up unsold.

Yambol Market

This the the lower end market by the bus station. It was caught very early in the morning today so not fully manned. There is all local produce sold there most from small holding in Yambol and the local villages. some of the out of season food os driven up from Turkey or Greece, only a couple of hours drive from the south.

Next to the market at the high end of Yambol is an interesting mural symbolising Yambol's past.
Yambol of course means 'Big Eat' and some of the figures characterise farmers who do so well here.
