New Walkway Path Complete in Yambol Centre

 After what seemed like years the walkway has now been completed and free of JCBs, dust and commotion. What a pleasure to walk up this path now under the lindon trees.

Walkway Into The Heart of Yambol

This is the start of Georgi Rakovski Street which is pedestrianised and leads right through to the heart of Yambol. Well used by walkers, skateboarders and cyclists. 

 

Main Pedestrian Walkway in Yambol

 It is always a pleasure to walk or cycle along the main pedestrian walk in Yambol. Traffic-free and adored with Christmas lights overhead.

Pedestrian Walkway Rakovski Street Finally Opens in Yambol

At long last the pedestrian walkway, namely Rakovski Street has opened. As far as the eye can see this walkway will bring pleasureful traffic free walks and cycling for many years to come. This turns Yambol into a more beautiful place to visit and I'm glad I'm part of that.

Scenic Walkway Through Yambol CIty Park

One of the many scenic sight whilst using the walkway by the River Tundzha in Yambol City Park. On a lovely sunny warm autumn day is a a real pleasure and treat to use this environment.

The Hypnotic Walkway in Yambol Centre

You will find this pattern on many walkways in Yambol City Centre. I find it quite hypnotic and there is a tendency to follow the straight lines when walking along. 

Another Hole On A Yambol Walkway

In all the years I have lived and worked here I don't recall one intance where a Bulgarian has fallen down a hole in the street. There is a very simple reasn for this, everyone here knows there are holes around therefore walk with caution in their step, especially at night. Why the need to cover them if care is taken?

Yambol For Pedestrians

Another picture of an area of Yambol where this walkway or boulevard is entirely dedicated for pedestrians. Many Bulgarian families use this for an evening walk after school and work. A ideal meeting place right next to the town centre park.

Yambol Boulevard

This is Yambol Boulevard in its full glory on a lovely summer day. The walk is one of the pleasures of the day as the paving stones are in perfect condition and the atmosphere lively and optimistic. There's always and event of a stall that makes you turn you head.

Pavement Garden

This is a Yambol cobblestoned street which has a paved walkway on the side. The owner of the house where it runs by decided to dig up all the paving stones and set up a growing area for more vegetables. Most people walk in the road and don't use the pavement, so it is not doing any harm and lets be honest the vegetable patch is in better condition now that what it was before!
